This black tea is from one of the oldest and most reputable tea gardens in Assam, India: the Harmutty Estate. This golden tipped tea is has a full-bodied and slightly sweet flavor with a somewhat malty taste. Try it on its own, or the British way with a cube of sugar and a dash of milk.
FOP refers to the high quality of the tea which is comprised of primarily mature leaves that are long, whole, and unbroken. These are nicely balanced with young leaves and tips which are the top two leaves of the plant and bud of the shoot. The buds often have a golden tip which is why the tea grade is considered "Flowery Orange Pekoe,"
